If you're struggling to lose weight, there are a few common reasons why this might be the case.

Here are four possible explanations:

❗ Invisible Fat Loss:

You aren't being patient.

Losing weight takes time and effort, and it's important to be patient with yourself.

It's not uncommon for people to expect to see results quickly, but it can take several weeks or even months to see a significant change in your weight.

❗ Your calories are inaccurate:

Tracking your calories can be a useful tool for weight loss, but it's important to make sure that the numbers you're using are accurate.

If you're underestimating how much you're eating, you may be consuming more calories than you think, which can make it harder to lose weight.

Try weighing and tracking all your food and drink for one day, just to make sure you are eating how much you think you are.

❗ Your metabolism has slowed down:

If you've been dieting for a long time or have lost a significant amount of weight, your body will probably have adapted to your lower calorie intake and will be burning less calories each day.

You may need to reduce your calories further than you think to continue to lose weight.

However, if your calories are extremely low and you're still not losing weight, I would suggest having a diet break to help speed up the metabolism.

❗ You have increased water retention:

Poor sleep and stress can cause water retention, which can make you feel bloated and make it harder to lose weight.

Additionally, certain medications can also cause water retention. This maybe something you need to discus with your doctor.

Increased water retention means you are actually losing fat, but it is disguised by the increase of water weight.

It's important to remember that weight loss is not a linear process, and that there will be ups and downs along the way.
