Fixing your diet is the fastest way to lose body fat and start feeling great.
Changing your diet can be a time consuming process. I know that we don't all have the luxury of time, this is why I want to share some time efficient strategies to start improving your diet immediately.
1. Consider Meal Delivery Services
These can help you save time by delivering pre-made, healthy meals to your doorstep. You can also select what kind of food you want based on your goals, such as low calorie or high protein.
With a quick Google search you should be able to find plenty of companies. I personally use 'Lions Prep' or 'Meatless Meal Prep' which are both based in the UK.
2. Consider Hiring Someone To Cook Your Food.
There are plenty of freelance chefs that are looking for extra hours. You can easily find an ad for a chef or post one yourself on Gumtree.
You order the food shopping to your house, they can cook, prepare and clean everything so you and your family have healthy meals for the week.
3. Have Meal Replacement Shakes Ready
There are days where we have back to back meetings, urgent priorities and we are overwhelmed with stress. The last thing we want to think about is where we can get a healthy meal.
I would suggest having a replacement drink like 'Huel' or a protein shake, kept at your desk or in your staff room fridge.
In seconds you can consume some healthy calories and continue with your work.
4. Keep Healthy High Protein Snacks Around
This means you can avoid the temptation of grabbing an unhealthy option when you're hungry and short on time. I suggest keeping a stash of protein bars, beef jerky, nuts or hard boiled eggs at work.
5. Have Healthy Takeaways Delivered To You
Sometimes you don't have time to go out and hunt for healthy food. I would suggest using a on demand food company such as 'Deliveroo' or 'DoorDash' to get these meals sent directly to you.
Most of these apps have an option to filter foods by 'healthy'.
Find 2-3 high protein & healthy options that you enjoy. My personal favourites are foods like grilled chicken, sushi or salad boxes.
6. Have A High Protein Breakfast
Breakfast is normally the meal we have the most control of, because we haven't been consumed by the endless tasks that need our urgent attention.
Getting a good start to the day will also increase the likelihood you will win the rest of the day.
I suggest having something high in protein such as Protein Oats, Eggs or Low Fat Greek Yoghurt.
